Privacy Policy — Namaz Widgets
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Namaz Widgets ("we", "us", "the app") is published by RemoteKaro LLC, Pakistan. This document
explains what data the app collects, why, and your rights regarding it.
Namaz Widgets is free, and the prayer times you enter never leave your device. The app has
no backend of its own and sells nothing. Your mosque name and the times you type are stored only
in your phone's local app storage, and are read by the app and its home-screen widgets. We cannot
see them.
1. Data we collect
| Category | Source | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| App events (screens opened, features used) | Firebase Analytics | To understand which features are used, so we know what to improve |
| Device identifiers, including the advertising ID | Firebase Analytics | Automatically collected by the analytics SDK to distinguish devices |
| IP address (and the approximate region derived from it) | Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging | Sent automatically with any network request; used for coarse regional statistics |
| Crash logs, device model, OS version, app version | Firebase Crashlytics | To diagnose and fix crashes |
| Push notification token | Firebase Cloud Messaging | To deliver notifications to your device |
Not collected. The app requests no location permission, no camera, no microphone, no
contacts, no calendar and no file access. It has no account, no sign-in, and no purchases. Your prayer times,
mosque name and board preferences are stored on your device only.
2. How we use your data
- To measure which features are used, in aggregate (app events, device identifiers).
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability (crash logs, device information).
- To deliver notifications, where you have enabled them (push token).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. The following third-party services process data on our
behalf as service providers:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
4. Your rights
You can:
- Opt out of analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy → Analytics. Crash reporting continues so we can keep the app stable.
- Delete everything the app stores on your device by uninstalling it, or via **Settings → Storage → Clear data** in Android settings. Because your prayer times are stored only on your device, uninstalling erases them permanently — we hold no copy.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data held by our service providers by emailing remotekarollc@gmail.com.
Data associated with a deletion request is fully purged within 30 days.
5. Security
Data sent to the services listed above travels over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Any secrets
the app stores locally are encrypted at rest using AES-GCM with keys held in the Android
Keystore. Your prayer times are stored in your device's private app storage, which other apps
cannot read.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data
from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. International transfers and GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete,
restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.
Our legal basis for processing is:
- Legitimate interest — analytics and crash reporting, to keep the app working and improve it.
- Consent — push notifications, which you grant by allowing the notification permission.
The service providers listed in section 3 are based in the United States, so your data may be
transferred outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses.
You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. California residents and CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we
collect and how it is used, to request deletion of it, and to not be discriminated against for
exercising those rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, email remotekarollc@gmail.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects
the most recent change.
